That day, by setting La Conciergerie on fire to the sound of his incendiary riffs, GOJIRA found himself propelled into another dimension. But while this unforgettable performance at the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games allowed them to win a Grammy Award and make themselves known far beyond the closed circle of “metal” fans, the French quartet did not wait for this to be recognized by their peers and fans internationally.
It has now been 25 years since GOJIRA released their first album and toured around the world like no other French rock band had managed to do before them. At the end of 2025, his French tour proved to be historic, bringing together nearly 100,000 spectators all over the country!
In May 2026, Joe, Mario, Christian and Jean-Michel will hit the road again to open for Metallica in several major European cities, but on Saturday June 6th, GOJIRA will play in Nancy at the top of the Heavy Week-End in order to meet her fans there and offer them her one and only concert in France for the year 2026!
